Following on from the success of the 2011 and 2012 events, Colchester Carnival returns to the town centre and Castle Park on 20 July 2013, organised by Colchester Round Table and Colchester Ladies Circle.
As always, we want this year’s carnival to be as vibrant as possible with the community at the heart of it.
To celebrate the 50th birthday of Colchester Zoo, this year’s procession will have the theme 'Animals on Parade'. We want everyone to have a chance to really get involved. That’s what we’re aiming to achieve, a real community-centred event. Businesses can enter for a nominal fee on the condition they get into the “carnival spirit”.
